Yes SSD's are a bit of a luxury when you're on a tight budget but if you can snag a used one for cheap, it will really enhance your PC. I mean you said it yourself you got to Agroprom in 30 mins so its ruining vanilla for you and that is why I implore you to spend some more time trying to fix it.
I haven't played it in ages but from what I hear, it makes the game noticeably easier, makes the Marked One sprint much faster etc etc. I understand Complete is the only thing working for you and you're tempted to play on but it makes a whole host of gameplay changes along with graphical ones.

Uninstall, remove everything associated with the game and I mean everything (left over ltx/other config/log files), maybe run CCleaner to clear the registry, then install again and if you're still having issues, install ZRP exactly as directed.
